We are happy to announce our 22nd homeowner.  Art and Kathy McMahon and their son and daughter are working hard on completing their “sweat equity” at 1045 Webster.  Art and Kathy have been at every Saturday build, making a new home is their top priorty.  Marshfield High School construction program completed the framing on this house as a building project.  With the generous help of the high school we will be able to start a second new house this summer. Our 21st house had over 1,500 hours of volunteer labor.  We give a special thanks to Scott Partney Construction and the Carpenters Local Union #1001 for blitzing 1080 Blanco in only 2 and a half days.  We can continue to provide safe, decent, affordable housing with the generosity of our community and companies who donate gift-in-kind products and material.

We also have a new construction supervisor, Tom Diefenbaugh.  Tom has over 30 years of house building experience.  Join us and learn new building skills by becoming a volunteer!  We build every other Saturday,  Check our calendar for build dates.

If construction is not your thing, we can always use volunteers in our ReStore and for many special projects.

We also have a “Learn to Build a House” program.  This allows the not so handy person to learn how a house is built.  You can learn skills that will help you with any of your building needs.  Come and join the fun, bring a hammer and a pair of gloves.  We have provided a calendar at the page site for you to know the next Saturday build.  We build at our Morrison subdivision.  Directions:  Newmark to Morrison, left on Morrison 11 blocks to Webster or look for the construction container on Blanco.
